Ivan came to us for help with his admission to top universities in England for architecture, feeling completely desperate. His previous experience studying in England and applying to universities did not go well: he fell short of the required scores in Design and Technology, receiving a D, did not study Art at A-Level, and could only hope for less competitive universities.
To improve his academic profile, Ivan needed to take Art A-Level and prepare a stronger portfolio for admission to top universities. We found the perfect college for Ivan in London, specializing in art, where he was able to successfully complete Art A-Level in just 9 months. He had only studied Art at the GCSE level, and the volume of work required to complete a two-year program in less than a year was enormous.
Portfolio and interviews are the main criteria for selecting students for creative specialties, and universities expect to see works in various styles and with different materials to assess the student's level.
Our experienced architecture specialist, Gillian, who graduated in architecture from Cambridge, guided Ivan in his creative pursuits and helped him create a portfolio using both his existing GCSE works and new pieces that highlighted his style, skills, and creativity. Gillian also prepared Ivan for the interviews, which he passed with flying colors, as he had discussed all the questions he was asked during the preparation process.
As a result, Ivan received offers from all the universities he applied to, including UCL (Bartlett School of Architecture), which ranks first in global rankings, AA—alma mater to many renowned architects, including Zaha Hadid, Peter Cook, and others, as well as Kingston and several other universities.
