We are relocating from India to the UK with barely 2 months notice. With a 14 yr old and an 11 year old, naturally, schooling is a top-of-mind concern. I reached out to multiple schools to secure a place but it was futile. State schools needed a letter from the council we would stay in; meanwhile we did not want to commit to a locality unless we knew the quality of school our children — particularly the 14yr old one — would be admitted to.
Independent schools were scarcely any easier to work with. Virtually every school needed us to pay a circa £200 pound registration fee per child to add them to a waiting list; admission then being contingent on tests to be conducted if a place were to potentially open up one day.
For some reason, the thought of spraying about money waiting for those odds to play out in our favour did not feel like a good idea.
That is what brought me to UKSC (via a quick search on Claude AI). By this point, there was barely a month left to the move. Once I spoke to Alex and Elena and signed on with UKSC, more happened in the next 48 hours than I had managed in the previous 5 weeks. We got line of sight to a place for the 14 yr in 3
schools. The first was a contender, the second was a bit meh and the third proved to be our first choice. I appreciate that UKSC did not try to force us to consider the 2nd contender.
Once we had zeroed in on our preferences, Elena made the process of registering with the schools and organising the assessments frictionless. She also pointed us towards relevant prep sources and set up my visit to our first preference school. Pleased to say that my 14 yr old got offered a place with a 20% scholarship. Since this was a co-ed, we then worked with UKSC to secure the same terms for my 11 yr old.
We are now looking forward to both the kids joining their school early next month. I have nothing but praise for the role that UKSC have played in making this happen.

My name is Giorgi Jorjaneli. I live in Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia. I am twelve and I have been to your English course twice already. It was great. I made new friends, we enjoyed spending time together, we talked and played a lot. Students are coming from all over the world, and I noticed that many children go back to your college year after year. Though it was summer, and nobody likes having to study during the vacation, our teachers made lessons interesting and enjoyable. And after the lessons we would go sightseeing or play at the swimming pool. We had so much fun!
But enhancing language skills was the main goal, of course. English is my first foreign language (German being the second one). It is the most commonly spoken language in the world, and we the students tried to make the most of our study time.
A wise man said: «As many languages you know, as many times you are a human being». Your excellent program enables us students to broaden our horizons.
